KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) — Tyquell Fields ran 50 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 11 seconds remaining and Stony Brook defeated Rhode Island 31-27 on Saturday night.

Field’s touchdown capped a wild fourth quarter in which 37 points were scored, Stony Brook (4-1, 1-0 Colonial) blew a 21-7 advantage and the lead changed twice in the final 1:05.

Rhode Island’s Vito Priore, who had 295 yards passing and three touchdowns, connected with Aaron Parker on a 20-yard touchdown pass to give Rhode Island its first lead of the game, 27-24.
