Cornerback Robinson signs 1-year contract with Chargers

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Cornerback Patrick Robinson has signed a one-year contract with the San Diego Chargers.

He is the third defensive back signed by the Chargers this offseason, joining cornerback Brandon Flowers and safety Jimmy Wilson.

Robinson was a first-round draft pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2010, the 32nd choice overall.

After appearing in just two games in 2013 due to a knee injury, he bounced back in 2014 to play in 14 games, intercepting two passes and breaking up 11 more.

In 2012, he tied a team record with a 99-yard interception return for a touchdown.
